Important research-use notice

Products supplied by GRINDLAB are offered exclusively for lawful laboratory, analytical, educational, or research purposes. They are not supplied as medicines, food, cosmetics, supplements, or products intended for human or veterinary consumption.

01

About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of grindlabresearch.com and to contracts formed when you purchase goods from GRINDLAB.

In these Terms, "GRINDLAB", "we", "us", and "our" refer to:

Legal entity: Espresso Estate Ltd

Company number: 17195780

Registered address: 23 George Street, Scunthorpe, England, DN15 6BG

Trading name: GRINDLAB

Email: info@grindlabresearch.com

By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the website or submit an order.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights available to you under applicable consumer-protection law.

02

Eligibility to Purchase

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

By ordering from GRINDLAB, you confirm that:

  • you are purchasing only for a lawful laboratory, analytical, educational, or research purpose;
  • you have the knowledge, facilities, training, and authority required to receive and handle the products safely;
  • your purchase, possession, importation, storage, handling, and intended use comply with every law and regulation applicable to you and the delivery destination; and
  • all information supplied during checkout is complete, accurate, and current.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity, age, location, or intended lawful research purpose. We may refuse or cancel an order where verification cannot be completed.

03

Research-Use Restriction

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, all products are supplied strictly for research use only.

Products must not be:

  • consumed, administered, inhaled, injected, or applied to humans or animals;
  • used for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or mitigation of disease;
  • used as medicines, food, food ingredients, supplements, cosmetics, or household products;
  • resold or relabelled for any unauthorised or unlawful purpose; or
  • used in breach of applicable professional, sporting, pharmaceutical, customs, or controlled-substance rules.

Product names, descriptions, references, and catalogue information are provided for identification and research-catalogue purposes. Nothing on the website constitutes medical advice, prescribing advice, treatment guidance, or a representation that a product is approved for human or veterinary use.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel an order where we reasonably believe that the product may be purchased, imported, supplied, or used unlawfully.

04

Orders and Contract Formation

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the products shown in your basket. An automated acknowledgement confirms that we received your order; it does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever occurs first.

We may reject or cancel an order before dispatch where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • the price or product information contains an obvious error;
  • payment cannot be authorised or is identified as high risk;
  • the delivery address is incomplete, inaccurate, or unsupported;
  • we cannot complete required compliance checks;
  • delivery or importation may be restricted or unlawful; or
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, resale abuse, or misuse.

Where payment has already been collected for an order we do not accept, the relevant amount will be returned using the original payment method.

05

Product Information and Availability

We take reasonable care to present product names, variants, quantities, specifications, images, and descriptions accurately. Screen settings, packaging updates, manufacturing tolerances, and photography may cause minor visual differences.

Availability is not guaranteed until an order is accepted. We may modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue a product where necessary, provided that this does not affect an order already accepted without your agreement.

Researchers are responsible for evaluating whether a product and its documented specifications are suitable for their intended lawful application before ordering or use.

06

Pricing, Taxes and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency selected on the website and include or exclude applicable taxes as indicated during checkout. The final amount payable will be shown before you submit your order.

International orders may be subject to local import VAT, customs duties, handling fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country. Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, these charges are not included in the product or delivery price and remain the recipient's responsibility.

We may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting an order. If an error is identified after submission, we will contact you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order for a refund.

Payment must be made using an approved payment method. Payment providers may conduct independent identity, security, or anti-fraud checks under their own terms.

07

Shipping, Delivery and Customs

Delivery options, estimated timeframes, charges, and available destinations are described in our Shipping Policy and at checkout. Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly agreed in writing.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery name, address, postcode, email address, and telephone number. We are not responsible for delay or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, except where required by law.

International customers are responsible for confirming before ordering that each product may be lawfully purchased, imported, possessed, and used in the destination jurisdiction.

We will not misdescribe goods, falsify customs declarations, alter invoices, or mark commercial orders as gifts. We may cancel an order where lawful delivery cannot reasonably be completed.

Responsibility for accidental loss or damage passes in accordance with applicable law. For consumer orders, this will generally not occur until the products are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to receive them.

08

Cancellation, Returns and Refunds

Eligible consumers may have a statutory right to cancel certain online purchases within 14 days after delivery, without giving a reason. The availability and operation of that right depend on the law applicable to the order and any relevant statutory exceptions.

To exercise a cancellation right, you must send us a clear statement before the applicable cancellation period expires. Please include your full name, order number, delivery address, and the products you wish to return.

Unless the goods are faulty, incorrect, or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for returning eligible goods safely and for the direct cost of return postage. Goods should be returned without unnecessary delay and within the legally applicable return period.

You must take reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession. Where permitted by law, we may reduce a refund to reflect loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the nature and characteristics of the goods.

Certain products may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where a statutory exception applies, including qualifying sealed goods that are not suitable for return after their seal has been broken. Any restriction will be applied only where legally permitted and will not affect rights relating to faulty, damaged, or misdescribed products.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within the timeframe required by applicable law. Please consult our separate Refund & Return Policy for return instructions.

09

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery. If an item is damaged, faulty, incomplete, or different from what was ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photographs of the product, packaging, shipping label, and any visible damage where relevant.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, an appropriate remedy may include replacement, repair, price reduction, or refund. Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory legal remedies for goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described.

10

Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or breach of mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for losses caused by unlawful, unauthorised, or non-research use of a product.

If you purchase wholly or mainly for business purposes, we will not be liable, to the extent permitted by law, for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill, data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing on the website is professional, scientific, legal, medical, pharmaceutical, or regulatory advice. You remain responsible for your own risk assessment, research protocols, regulatory checks, and safe handling procedures.

11

Intellectual Property

The GRINDLAB name, branding, logos, product presentation, website design, graphics, photography, text, downloads, and other website materials are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may access and use the website for personal or internal business purchasing purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, scrape, republish, sell, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

12

Reviews and Submitted Content

Reviews and other content must be honest, lawful, relevant, and based on genuine experience. They must not contain medical claims, instructions for unauthorised use, unlawful content, threats, harassment, confidential information, spam, or material that infringes another person's rights.

We may moderate or remove content that breaches these Terms, applicable law, or platform standards. We will not edit a review in a manner that materially changes the reviewer's genuine opinion.

By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it for website, customer-service, and marketing purposes, subject to applicable privacy law.

13

Website Access and Acceptable Use

We may update, suspend, restrict, or withdraw all or part of the website for maintenance, security, operational, or legal reasons. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;
  • introduce malicious code or interfere with website operation;
  • use automated systems to extract data without permission;
  • impersonate another person or provide fraudulent information;
  • circumvent purchase, location, age, or compliance restrictions; or
  • use the website in connection with unlawful activity.
14

Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, customs delays, carrier failures, governmental restrictions, changes in law, cyber incidents, utility outages, natural disasters, or public-health emergencies.

Where such an event materially affects an accepted order, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and minimise disruption. Your statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.

15

Governing Law and General Provisions

These Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, mandatory rights and protections available under the law of your country of residence remain unaffected, and you may be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.

No person other than you and GRINDLAB has a right to enforce the contract, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, regulatory, operational, or commercial changes. The version in force when your order is accepted will normally govern that order.
